The chocolate squares from Ritter Sport are Rainforest Alliance-certified and crafted entirely from cocoa that has been obtained sustainably. Since 2018, their complete line of products has only used cocoa from sources that have been independently verified as being sustainable by the Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Cocoa, and Fairtrade programs.
Ritter Sport's El Cacao cocoa plantation is located in Nicaragua. At their El Cacao farm, they rethink each stage of the cocoa production process along with their 350 staff and partners. They aim to demonstrate that cocoa can be grown at competitive rates while also being produced in a manner that is both socially and environmentally responsible. Ritter Sport is likewise dedicated to establishing long-term relationships with cocoa growers and their producer associations, such as cooperatives, in the countries of origin.
