Sony Corporation is one of Japan's leading electronics manufacturers. Incorporated in 1958 from the merged assets of Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corp. (Tokyo Denki) and Tokyu Electric Industries Co., Inc., Sony started operations in January 1946.
